Recommended to configure AVM DS PC’s for automatic start and automatic Windows login

Autologon tool

This tool needs to be used with the account that you want to log in automatically to Windows.

1. Download the tool from the Microsoft site.

2. Log in to the desired account on Windows.

3. Extract this file to the desired place, for example, C:\temp

4. Double-click Autologon64.exe.

5. Accept the agreement.

6. Fill details

   1. Username

   2. Password

   3. The domain can be left empty or filled if needed.

7. Click Enable.

8. Now you can test this autologon by restarting the machine.

Windows User Accounts

1. Type in the search box the command netplwiz or open Run and type the command netplwiz.

2. This opens a new window, which is named User Accounts.

3. Select using the mouse the user whom you want to log in automatically.

4. Then untick Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

5. After this, you get a pop-up window, where you can fill this your username and password.

6. Click OK to save these settings.

7. Now you can test this autologon by restarting the machine.

Registry change

1. Open registry editor(Regedit)

2. Browse HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Winlogon

3. Set AutoadminLogon to 1

4. Set the DefaultUserName value to the correct username

5. Add new String Value --> DefaultPassword

6. Set value for DefaultPassword

7. Now you can test this autologon by restarting the machine.
