The Mirasys VMS software consists of separate software packages that are used to install the software. These differ from each other in terms of whether you are installing server-side or workstation-related software.
Our software installation packages are available for download via the Mirasys Extranet or from the Software download section of the Documentation portal.
There are no differences in the installation programs, regardless of where you download them from, because the packages are the same in all cases.
Our software packages are named according to the following convention:

First, the product name is stated.

Examples: Mirasys, Mirasys-VMS, etc.

After the product name comes the name of the software/installation package.

Example: VMS, ListManagementService, etc.

Lastly, the version numbering for the software package is stated.

Example: 9.9.5, 9.9.6, etc.

In the following sections, we will go over what types of software packages are available through us and how and in which situations they should be used.
Mirasys VMS
Mirasys VMS Complete
Use this package when you perform the first installation on a new server, whether it is just a VMS server or a Management server.
The Mirasys VMS Complete package should also be chosen when you upgrade a VMS server or Management server that already has SQL Express installed, and you want to upgrade the SQL Express program in addition to the VMS software.
Check that the SQL Express included with the VMS installation package is compatible with the Windows operating system.

Mirasys VMS Update
Use the Update package when you are upgrading a VMS server or Management server that already has SQL Express installed, or when you wish to just upgrade the Mirasys VMS software.
Mirasys Spotter
The Mirasys Spotter package should be used when you first install the Spotter workstation software on a separate workstation.
When updating the VMS, there is no need to update the workstation software separately, as the newer version is downloaded directly from the VMS server.
Use this package also when you wish to update the basic version of the Spotter program to a newer version on a workstation.
We also offer MSI packaging for use with SCCM, for example. This should only be used in cases related to these specific situations.

Mirasys Spotter Web
Use this package when you first install Spotter Web software on a server with VMS software or on a separate server.
The Spotter Web package should also be used when you upgrade your current Spotter Web installation.

Mirasys System Manager
When you are installing the System Manager workstation software on a separate workstation for the first time, use the System Manager package.
When updating the VMS, there is no need to update the workstation software separately, as the newer version is downloaded directly from the VMS server.
Use this package also when you wish to update the basic version of the System Manager program to a newer version on a workstation.

Mirasys Spotter Viewer
Use the Spotter Viewer installation package when you are installing the Spotter Viewer application for the first time or upgrading the installation. More information about the Spotter Viewer installation package is available here:
Mirasys Spotter Player
Use this package when you do not want to install the Spotter software on your workstation but want to open exports, clips, etc., produced by the Mirasys VMS.
Spotter Player is also included as part of the exports if this is enabled. This makes it easy for a third party to validate that they are using exported material, clips, etc.
Mirasys VCA
Mirays VCA Deep Learning
Use this package when you wish to activate artificial intelligence-based video analytics in the VMS server, utilizing the resources of the Nvidia graphics card.

Mirasys VCA License Server
If you have a virtualized environment, this licensing server allows you to manage and maintain VCA-related licensing.
Please note that the licensing server must be installed on physical hardware.

Mirasys Gateway
Use the Gateway package when the system has an integration that uses the Mirasys Gateway interface to retrieve data from the VMS.

Mirasys Smart Services
Mirasys List Management Service
Use this package when you are implementing license plate recognition or facial recognition as a part of the Mirasys VMS software.
This package includes the installation of the necessary components that allow license plate recognition and face recognition to store identifications in a database.
Use this package also when you are upgrading your current list management software to a newer version.

Mirasys License Plate Recognition Service
Use this package when you are implementing license plate recognition on a VMS server or a separate AI server.
Upgrading the current version to a newer one is also done with this installation package.

Use this package when you are implementing face recognition on a VMS server or a separate AI server.
The package can also be used to upgrade the current version to a newer one.

Use this package when you are implementing object recognition as a part of the Mirasys VMS software.
The package includes the installation of the necessary components that allow object recognition to store recognitions in a database.
